Where to Watch Football Games In Koreatown

July 29, 2022

This is your go-to list for the best sports bars in Ktown.

What makes the perfect sports bar? Good food, great drink specials, and, most importantly, you want to be able to sit down and actually hear and see the game.

One of the main benefits of living in one of our rental apartments in Koreatown is walkable access to great dining experiences. It’s Ktown so you know that each experience you get is going to be unique and there is a go-to dish at every restaurant.

The BIG charm of living in Ktown? You don’t have to fight for parking like everyone else. If your “out-of-town” friends will be meeting you, we highly recommend they opt for the very nominal valet parking that these places offer. But if you’re an Urban LA Living tenant you’re in luck. Most of our favorite bars to watch sports are all within walking distance from our apartment buildings in the Koreatown area.

1. Cafe Bleu

Established in 2001, Café Bleu is the home to chill. Cafe Bleu is an upscale restaurant/bar featuring fine Korean cuisine in the heart of Koreatown in Los Angeles. It may not be the first spot that comes to mind when you think “sports bar” but trust us!

Cafe Bleu has an inviting and warm ambiance with lots to offer including,  fine cuisine and tasteful cocktails. In addition, Cafe Bleu features the best entertainment from sporting events on crystal clear HD and big-screen TV! You can watch your favorite LA teams up close and personal. Experience the energy of Cafe Bleu.

Walking distance from The Victoria, Kenmore Arms, Casa California, Villa Veneto, and The Rosetta.

2. Baja’s Grill

Baja’s Grill is the spot to grab fish tacos in Ktown. You may be thinking…a Mexican/Seafood joint in Ktown, that seems bold! But we couldn’t be happier. We love a good night of Ktown BBQ, but sometimes you just want some ceviche and an oyster slider (all of which are excellent at Bajas Grill).

Like many places in Ktown you want to stick with what they know and not go too far into the weeds with this menu. We’ve seen some less-than-complimentary reviews of their salads (so skip those) but the Tacos are a touchdown. This is an excellent place to grab a table and watch the game with some friends. Especially if you love tacos. And who doesn’t?

3. Buffalo Wild Wings

Okay, it’s kind of basic but, hey, it’s reliable! And nothing goes together better than wings and football. In case you didn’t know their history: Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck (as it was known) was founded in 1982 by Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery.

After Disbrow had finished judging an amateur figure skating competition at Kent State University, the two of them met up to get some Buffalo-style chicken wings to eat but couldn’t find any no matter how many restaurants they went to.

They decided to open their own restaurant serving wings. For the first location, they selected a location near Ohio State University, Columbus. And now, you can watch all the football your heart desires while consuming all the wings your heart desires right in Koreatown!

We hope to see you out and about Ktown enjoying the great walkability that this neighborhood offers. It’s one of the main reasons we have so many buildings in this area. Go Chargers! Or Rams! Or whatever other team you may root for. Cheers!
