Osteria Mamma

Location: 5732 Melrose Avenue

Their story begins with the late Mamma Loredana. Mamma believes you should never underestimate the power of a home-cooked Italian meal. After many years of hard work from her kitchen in Italy, Mamma Loredana has brought her original recipes to the southern California area.

In March of 2010, with the help of her family, she opened a true and traditional Italian Osteria, Osteria Mamma. You can expect the true taste of the Veneto region when you eat with them. From the moment you walk into Osteria Mamma, you’re part of the family.

While Mamma Loredana is no longer with us, her traditions and memories live on at Osteria Mamma. Over the past 10 years, Osteria Mamma has had the pleasure of being featured on Buzzfeed Food, LA Eater, and The LA Times. KTLA’s very own Dayna Devon has claimed that Osteria Mamma is her favorite homemade pasta spot in Hollywood! Led by Certified Sommelier, Fillipo Cortivio, Osteria Mamma has received Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence for seven years and counting.

Biergarten LA

Location:  206 N. Western Ave

Their inspiration is simple. They love beer gardens in Germany. Why?

The inclusive atmosphere. Biergarten LA is a neighborhood spot where anyone who loves good food and great beers can get a taste of German food with Korean-infused flavors.

Feel the warmth, friendliness, and good cheer. Kick back, have fun, and be a part of the unique community

Tu Madre

Location: 203 N. Larchmont Blvd.

Since 2015, Tu Madre has been making tacos and breakfast burritos with love in a small and colorful shop in Westwood. Their food celebrates flavors across the city with diverse ingredients and cooking techniques, including slow-roasted and braised meats and house-made fermented chili salsas.

Plant-based tacos, burritos, and bowls are available so vegans can fiesta too. The red velvet churros have been a sweet staple since opening. Over the years, they’ve expanded to locations throughout the city, including Hancock Park, Los Feliz, and West Hollywood.

Here’s Looking At You

Location:  654 N Larchmont Blvd.

Here’s Looking at You is an eclectic Los Angeles restaurant in Koreatown, heralded for its creativity and genre-defying cuisine. Owners Lien Ta and Chef Jonathan Whitener opened their first restauran

t together in 2016.

Named a “Restaurant of the Year” by Food & Wine Magazine and one of Eater National’s “38 Most Essential Restaurants,” HLAY was also the subject of author Patric Kuh’s “Becoming a Restaurateur.”

After four magical years as a small independent restaurant, COVID-19 would force its forever closure. But 17 months later, fate would have it that the community would come together to help resurrect this extraordinary restaurant. Thanks to you, Here’s Looking At You is back.

Jons Marketplace

Location: 3334 W. 8th

Since its founding in 1977, JONS Fresh Marketplace has been a family-owned grocery chain serving the people – and palates! – of greater Los Angeles.

They are, first and foremost, a general, wide-ranging supermarket featuring all the products, brands, and services that you’ll find at any of their competitors (they always have, and they always will).

But they also offer something more: uniquely invested in the LA community, JONS honors the distinctive tastes of its neighborhoods and the adventurous spirit of its city. Those who live here in LA know exactly what is meant by that.

Their customers crave well-known favorites and access to a true diversity of tastes. So, as well as showcasing every item you’ve come to expect from your one-stop grocery store, they search the globe for hard-to-find foods – as delicious and unbeknownst to some, as deliciously familiar to others – with a commitment that makes them an LA staple. No matter which way you slice it.

Chan Dara

Location: 310 N. Larchmont Blvd

Chan Dara has served exquisite oriental cuisine for more than 30 years. They proudly offer a wide variety of selected exotic Asian gourmet delicacies, fresh seafood, grilled specialties, signature dishes, and dessert platters.

They also serve selected beers, wine, sake, and cocktails

Le Pain Quotidien

Location: 113 N Larchmont Blvd.

Le Pain Quotidien means the daily bread. And to them, that means everything. It’s much more than mere sustenance; it’s a way of life. As the loaves emerge from the ovens, warm and fragrant, friends gather around the communal tables to share in the time-honored tradition of breaking bread.

The hum of conversation fills the air, jam is passed around the table, and, ever so gracefully, time slows. Flour, water, salt, and time

In this ever-changing and hectic world, they invite you to escape to a place where traditional simplicity is cherished. Their bakers blend organic stone-ground flour, sea salt, and water with a wild yeast levain starter to create a humble four-ingredient beginning.

The dough is then kneaded patiently by hand, and baked in stone-lined hearths. These are the artisanal loaves of our past, baked according to tradition.

The Wiltern

Location: 3790 Wilshire Ave.

The theater is worth visiting just for its interior, with its colorful terrazzo paving and 1920s design. The centerpiece of it all is a sunburst on the ceiling of the theater, each ray its own art deco skyscraper.

The Wiltern Theatre originally seated 2,344 but now can accommodate more as they created a general admission standing-room-only section. Musical acts of all kinds as well as comedians grace The Wiltern stage so, no matter what you’re into, you’ll be able to see someone you love! Check out their lineup here.

The Normandie Club

Location: 3612 W. 6th

Rooted in the heart of Los Angeles’ Koreatown, The Normandie Club is housed inside the historic Hotel Normandie. Established in 2015, The Normandie Club is a community cocktail bar featuring a unique drink program that showcases both classic and modern cocktails complemented by a signature service philosophy.

Their menu features new takes on the classics with plenty of incredible drinks to be excited about. Let them know what you’re in the mood for, and they will find the right drink for you.
