5 (Of the Many) Perks of Living in Hollywood

July 6, 2021

You can truly live your best life in our charmingly renovated Hollywood apartment buildings. We’re talking sling-open-your-curtains-to- a-view-of-the-Hollywood-sign-movie-moment best life. Oh, and did we mention, they’re also affordable? You can choose between the crazy walkable Avondale or Beach Tower in the heart of Hollywood, the retro Hollywood Colony, or the quieter and cozy Silverlake Station

Living in any of these apartments in Hollywood will provide you with the conveniences and excitement of the area. There’s too many awesome places to visit, you’ll never want for new experiences. Here are a five – of the MANY – perks to living in Hollywood:

The Spare Room

Talk about quirky! The Spare Room is tucked away deep inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel – and yup, that’s the place Marilyn Monroe once lived, how cool is that? It’s a cozy little hideaway that just so happens to also be one of Hollywood’s best cocktail bars, and it has a bowling alley! The cocktails are as innovative and unique as the space and it’s a wonderful place to hang out with a group, play games, and try sipping on something new and delish.

Hiking

Take a hike! No, but for real. Hollywood offers some really great hikes that are the perfect way to spend an afternoon. You can of course trek up to the iconic Hollywood Sign. There are three trails that will lead you there starting with Mt. Hollywood Trail which is the easiest, the Brush Canyon Trail, and Cahuenga Peak Hike which is the most challenging of the three. Another great hike is Runyon Trail. The trailhead can be reached by walking from Hollywood Boulevard or from Hollywood Colony! For a less crowded experience, try Griffith Park which has 50 miles of trail with panoramic views of Los Angeles.

Breakfast By The Griddle Cafe

If you like bottomless mimosas with a stunning view then we have the perfect Hollywood brunch spot. The Griddle Cafe is located in Hollywood. If you’ve ever wondered what’s that mountain palace in the Hollywood Hills this is your chance to find out. The Griddle Cafe has been serving generous brunch portions since April 2021 from their new location. And did we mention the view?

The Hollywood Bowl

After opening in 1922, the Hollywood Bowl became the spot for live music here in Southern California. Everyone from The Beatles to Yo-Yo Ma has played under the easily recognizable arches of the Bowl. Music fans have the Hollywood Bowl on their list of “Must Visit Venues” but even if you’re nota an audiophile, it’s an experience you’ve got to have at least once. Luckily, after a long year, they are opening back up and building a killer schedule.

Outdoor Movies

When it comes down to it, movies are at the heart of Hollywood so there are plenty of ways to enjoy the silver screen. We are partial to the unique experience of watching a movie outdoors. Pack up a picnic, blankets, or a low backed chair and head to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery to catch an old movie. Or drive-in to the Greek Theater for an old school movie experience. New events are constantly being added so you’re sure to find a movie that you absolutely love.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Hollywood has so much to offer. From the places where it’s worth battling the crowds of tourists to the quiet intimate favorites of the locals, there is so much to do.
