Love is in the air.

Lauren Litt • Aug 12, 2016

Smell that? Love is in the air. But if you find yourself on the single side of the street, it might stink! P.U. Rather than dread this month, we have some anti-valentiney ideas that might get you more excited than if you did have a significant other. Valentine’s Day is now sandwiched by two singles celebration days. Galentine’s Day and Single’s Awareness Day. Both serve the same purpose. To celebrate the awesomeness that is YOU!

Galentine’s day, as seen on Parks & Rec, is on the 13th and basically a ladies night on crack. Get together with your BFF or all of your girlfriends and dance the night away. Sing to your heart’s desire at karaoke. Carb out. Or throw an Anti-Valentine’s Day party. Sounds like a great excuse to shower your friends with love.

Then there’s Single’s Awareness Day. It’s on February 15th, which happens to be President’s Day this year. So maybe you have the day off. See, things are looking better already. We’ve got some fun ideas for this down with love sandwich of a weekend!

Have a spa day! You can do this with friends or go it alone. Maybe a little me time thinking about the incredible year of the monkey ahead of you is just the thing to revive your spirit. Plus, a mani-pedi, facial, and massage combo sounds like heaven. A day in a robe. Yes, please.

They don’t say misery loves company for nothing. People love to commiserate together! So why not get Mortified? Wanderlust in Hollywood is having a Valentine’s Edition of the show this month. You can listen to other people tell their stories of love lost or love gone wrong. Get your tickets now.
